Original American poster printed in 1918 to promote the US Shipping Board and Emergency Fleet Corporation, the latter founded in 1917 to build the ships needed for transporting US soldiers and sailors to the First World War in Europe. The image, which shows a US sailor and US infantryman walking jauntily on either side of a shipyard laborer, communicates that all three are equally important for the US to win the war.
